🚲Cycling the Burlington Hydro Corridor🚲
I've mentioned this #BurlOn trail in many of my #Bikeability videos as a trail for #HamOnt to emulate with its own hydro corridors.
There may be some issues with it, but overall it's absolutely great!
🚲Cycling The Most Requested Street🚲
Since the beginning of the #Bikeability series in 2021, Garth Street in #HamOnt has been the #1 most requested street people have asked me to cover.
More specifically, the side path between Stone Church & Rymal Roads.
🚲Cycling the Keddy Access Trail🚲
In this video, we revisit the vitally important multi-use trail that started the #HamOnt #Bikeability series, back in 2021.
The footage is better, the graphics are better, & hopefully, the commentary is better!
Very interesting paper about the design of #bycicle infrastructure #networks: https://www.nature.com/articles/s43588-022-00318-w

A new bike/ped bridge just opened in #Atlanta, spanning the railroad tracks of "the gulch" and connecting the Castleberry Hill neighborhood to South Downtown and the Garnett MARTA station. It's fantastic, and a huge win for #walkability and #bikeability. It also has a cool section passing through the former Norfolk Southern building, which is now residential. Let's do more of this! #BikeTooter #urbanism #ATL #trains

I was recently a guest on a #podcast about living #carfree/#carlite in Dallas.
If you've never been here, #Dallas is a quintessentially #carcentric city, with bottom-of-the-barrel #bikeability scores (133 out of 143 large cities in the latest #PeopleforBikes City Ratings, ouch). Minimizing car use here is a challenge, but definitely possible. Fun even. Mostly.

New year, better city?
What was the best improvement of your city in 2022?
And what is looking like it'll be the best improvement in 2023?

This past year I've been doing a #carfree #multimodal commute in a place rather hostile to this sort of thing and have some tips.
As a bit of background, #Dallas consistently ranks near the bottom of major U.S. cities for #walkability and #bikeability, and the U.S. in turn does the same amongst developed nations. So things here are bad, with a major case of #carbrain. (To be fair we do have a decent system of recreational trails, but mostly they aren't useful for getting around town.)
