We also biked to Tennessee beach, which was a bit of a challenge with my city bike which I use for everything - had to walk it in a couple places due to either steep downhills where I couldn't get traction or just like big chunks of chert that we had to cross

Went bike camping this weekend at Haypress

It was my second time there. It's in a valley within Tennessee Valley, we biked in via Sausalito.

Saw lots of different birds including a lot of quail (in the photo), some rabbits, and a deer.

Day 126 #BikeStreak
The car that is going to haul me and my #bicycle to an upcoming #BikeCamping adventure needed service. So while it was in the shop I rode up to Pine Island and back. I was going to ride the Douglas Trail the whole way, but due to road construction intersecting the trail, I took a gravel road detour. I rode County 31 and the now finished County 5. I always worry about at large dogs on gravel roads I've not traveled, but luck was with me today.

Today I led a social/coffee #bicycle ride around #RochMN past Soldiers Field and Mayowood. The Dame's Rockets are in bloom along the Zumbro South Trail and Bear Creek Trail. As it was now above 80F, we had iced drinks instead of coffee at the end. My mango smoothie hit the spot. Then I went on a quick grocery run to pick up a couple items needed for tomorrow's #BikeCamping trip.

Sleeping in a tent in nature is always a good idea until you actually do it (I accidentally knocked over the tent pole that was holding up my ultralight backpacking tent, in my sleep, and my CPAP machine humidifier turned into cold condensation in my nose at 3am, and there were packs of coyotes howling!) but.. I’m always glad to do it.

Probably our most impressive carry so far. We rode our Yuba Supermarche about 250 miles on the Olympic Discovery Trail like this. There’s a kid in the front and an 80lbs dog in the trailer. what’s a ~safe route from san francisco to, say, half moon bay? i imagine highway 1 is probably not the best route for bikes, yeah?
