@bikescape There's one good #bikeRack outside of #Riverbank State Park in #NYC that is heavily used. It could be longer. It overfills and people lock up to all kinds of things.

If you're looking for a place to park your bicycle on Forbidden Drive, I'm happy to report that there is a bike rack at the Valley Green Inn (perhaps unsurprisingly).
More bike racks with better design would be better, but it's a start!

There’s like ten or fifteen of these signs in this small room admonishing people to park their bikes vertically. That shouldn’t be necessary. Bike racks should just be easy to use. #BikeRack

I was glad to find out my weekend workplace has a bike cage in the garage, but I could not figure out how to use the vertical bike racks at all. The signs were unhelpful. The other few bikes were just locked to the support rails at ground level, so I guess I’m not the only one. I suspect the people who designed these racks, and the people who bought them, do not bike regularly. Standard ground-level racks would probably be a better use of space.

I know they have their fanatical followers, and you have to admit, it’s undoubtedly the freshest, hottest chicken fingers going.

For example - new developments must make a #sidewalk. They must! And put in a #bikerack.
