I'll have two weeks off and several coworkers have asked me whether or where I will be this time and now I feel a bit pressure now... :thisIsFine:

In fact I plan to go on a 4 day trip by bike, then continue by van for some hiking and then move forward to Bavaria to walk the dog and plaster the garage. :flipdog:

After only 3 months of use, the seat post breaks at the transition to the saddle.

Wtf.

Warranty claimed and fortunately only rode a few km back without saddle

Have to take the bus to work now.

Iceland 2023 Gear check:

Genesis CTF 835 w. Hunt wheels (SON 28 in the front).

Gearing is done by a modded SRAM Rival to 12-spd w. SRAM Eagle rear derallieur and casette (10-50).

Old Man Mountain racks w. Vaude panniers.

Tried matching the graphics on the frame w. the bling XX1 oil slick chain and the Supacaz wraps.

Non-leather Brooks saddle and bottle cages everywhere. Bottles and extras strapped down w. G3 straps.

Frame- and saddlebag from Wizardworks.

We're back to nature. It's beautiful, yet hostile. The sun is burning, and I've been bitten by a tick. Yesterday was not our best day, to be honest 🤕

Yesterday was our biggest day: 70km done, for a total sum of 200km since our departure at Geneva. Good news, we should reach Lyon today 😎

Starting the moment we left Savoy 3 days ago, the landscape has stayed the same: wide and abrupt valleys, crop fields, old villages on hills, and from time to time a factory or a nuclear plant.

Day 2 of my road trip from Geneva all along the Rhône 🚵‍♀️

We have done 80km so far. The first day in Switzerland was really cold and rainy, and we had to sleep in the wild just before the French border. As each time I sleep in the forest, I had these weird nightmares of boars entering my tent 😨🐗

Second day was much better, with sun, flatter roads, and... the Rhône!

I bought a very small solar panel to see how it fares for keeping electronics charged while or .
It's small enough to fit on top of my handlebar bag, had a USB-A connector, and according to reviews should have an output of about 3W. That's not a whole lot but may be sufficient to keep my GPS and part of a smartphone powered.
