The #UpperHouse rejected a proposed amendment – backed by Quebec #Senators #TonyLoffreda and #JudithSeidman – that would have removed references to Quebec’s #CharterOfTheFrenchLanguage, commonly known as #Bill101, from #BillC13.

I'm all about promotion of bilingualism in Canada. I'm not bilingual. The recent Census showed there was a decline in French within Canada. So is Bill C-13 amending the Official Languages Act meant to equal the playing field, especially for business, or is this a political ploy to save Liberal votes in Québec?
