Soprattutto dal punto di vista ritmico con per il bellissimo 3/4 (6/8) delle strofe alternato al 7/8 del ritornello del sempre magistrale #BillBruford, con gli #arpeggifrattali di #RobertFripp, i crescendo vocali di #AdrianBelow, e il basso stick di #TonyLevin che insiste ancora più poliritmico della batteria.

Fu con questa canzone che capii, al liceo, che il #drumming di questo batterista era diverso, ovvero #magico. Un tappeto continuo e progressivo di rullata, così inedito, così bello (e così difficile da realizzare con una timbrica mostruosa). Poi scoprii che #BillBruford era andato a suonare anche con #KingCrimson: i torni contavano ❤️

The 'rock gamelan' period, four extraordinary musicians at the top of their game. Really a very different band from the 70s or even 90s King Crimson. I love it though - more like Talking Heads on some kind of hazardous recreational pharmaceuticals.
