Particularly adept with dark-hued material, his diverse range of credits included the eerie The Return of Count Yorga (1971), NBC's Ghost Story (1972-73), Coppola's The Conversation (1974), Spielberg's Something Evil (1972) and Jaws (1975), One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975), Demon Seed (1977), Damien: Omen II (1978), Child's Play (1988) and Bill Paxton's extraordinary Frailty (2001). #RIP
