I grow tired of billionaires trying to tell us that there is a population crisis.

We live in a world of limited resources that are rapidly declining. Mining and consuming these resources is destroying the environment and causing harm to the climate.

Thanks to climate change, agriculture is adversely impacted - meaning it will be harder to feed a larger population.

This is not to say we don't produce enough food for the 150 million who are starving today - we do, "but who the fuck is going to make money off of those poor people - we can just throw the excess away" appears to be opinion du jour.

Meanwhile, AI is doing creative shit while we add more and more workers to Amazon warehouses. "You have a masters? Fantastic, welcome to the afternoon shift at Trader Joe's - maybe in a few years you can be a shift lead."

We don't even house all the people we have today because investment firms are buying up single-family housing.

Democrats just took what they could get rather than let a strike ruin the progress that has been made on The economy.
