A very queer biotech fantasy with pirates, drawing on Māori and SE Asian inspirations. (The author is Sascha Stronach.)

It's about bruised people holding together and trying to fend off an apocalypse, in a setting that seems to have been through a few already. Good stuff.

Australian Ibis in a Brisbane city fountain, taken with the IR modified camera. These birds are derided by locals as pests, but like every other tourist in Australia I'm fascinated by these weird bold birds that have managed to adapt so perfectly to city life, eating human's rubbish instead of frogs. And earned the nickname 'bin chickens'

2. The best #mobile app I've found so far on #android has been: the mobile site itself, saved as an app. I literally could not find the #federated #timeline in the official app.
