Sometimes you need to just sit alone and breathe. Maybe everything will be okay

Whoa, I'm slightly elevated. I knew the new med was doing something. Started Saturday, it's now Tuesday. But by Monday I had suspicions.

So this is cool I guess. I was at a multi-week low uhhh 48 hours ago. New meds: always an adventure! Strap in and prepare for turbulence.

I sure got a lot of crap done today. Relatively speaking. Now to watch that this stays, uh, sub-orbital if you know what I mean.

I'm definitely edging toward potential , but I've recognized it earlier than ever before and I know the major root causes - lack of downtime and (probably related) sleep a bit lower than my ideal for several weeks.

What I haven't quite figured out is how I'm going to get the downtime I need after tomorrow. Got stuff going on until then. But then what? I will bring it up with my individual DBT therapist today.

I turned my earlier distress and anxiety around by participating in a 10 minute guided body scan. Then I was able to focus on a task I wanted to do, and now I'll go tend to my physical needs by preparing a meal. People are present downstairs and I was hoping to have a little more time to myself, but it won't be that bad - it never is - and I have a lot of stuff to do.

Oddly, I shed a couple tears after the body scan, and I'm not sure why. The relief wasn't *that* strong. 🤷🏻‍♂️😜
