Good morning from La Vigne, my abandoned #vineyard in #bugey #france. I’ve identified 36 species of trees on this three hectare plot. None planted in the seven years I’ve been here. Just indigenous. The box #buxus is being killed by #boxcaterpillar and the #spruce by spruce bark beetle. And #ash die-back is just starting. But others seem ok including my favourite silver #birches pictured here. Wishing you a good Sunday. PS don’t know if you followed the #johnmastodon chat yesterday - 🤩.

Every time I see a bunch of cows in a field, I try to make an Atom Heart Mother cover picture.
Every time I see a bunch of birch trunks, I try to make an Ansel Adams picture.
I won't succeed using sixteen-years-expired 400-speed colour film, but I can enjoy trying.
I shot this two weeks ago in my little Rollei 35 TE. I converted it to b&w in Paint Shop Pro.
The film was Kodak Max 400 (expired July 2006).
