Bird is the Word! Today kicked off the start of the Point Reyes Birding and Nature Festival! A little late in posting, but it was a beautiful sunrise, I had to pull over to take a picture. I am pleased to report the Downy woodpecker that made a home in our dying birch tree back in August, then disappeared, has returned 🥰

First hint was the mess of wood shavings on the deck this morning, and just now saw him land and quickly vanish into his nest.
