The vernal equinox has coincided with me hearing my first chiffchaff of the year. It was lovely to hear all that chiffchaffing, like a herald of winter's end.

A brief sunny ☀️ interlude produced from one spot at least 10 singing skylarks, 5 lapwings in territorial display with attendant females and merlin going across the marsh like Concorde. No migrants along the coastal footpath to #Berwick-Upon-Tweed and all the stonechat seem to have done a runner 🤷♂️

So, for example you could follow #WildlifePhotgraphy and your feed will suddenly have cool animals in it.
You can follow hashtags even if you don't know anything about the subject, like I follow #BirdingUK and I get to see so many new to me birds.
Fill your feed with something new to you, or something that makes you smile.

Rather embarrassingly, my first ever trip to Clatto Reservoir, Fife. Nice spot and surely gets a few birds (singing River Warbler, July 1994) but coverage is practically zero. Singing Crossbill and Siskin suggest spring is already here for some #birdingScotland #birding #birdingUK

33 species recorded on the farm this morning. Definitely a Scope day with the lack of cover and trees bare. Highlights were 55 Stock Dove, 75 Chaffinch and 13 Skylark of which 5 in song first for the year. A pair of Raven have paired up. 6 Roe Deer, Brown Hare and a Fox. Dog’s Mercury abundant in the Woodland edge #farmlandwildlife #birdinguk
