Another shot waiting for birds to fly. This one I tried to do the rule of thirds with the bird in focus and out of focus. Small slider work as shutter priority mode was was on and the camera did a lot of the work. I like it but I also miss manual. Just some things you can't adjust on the fly while trying to get a shot though. #birdonawire #bird #2023photochallenge

Starting to use my bigger lens and try to catch some birds mid flight. Also branching out to shutter priority mode with auto focusing to catch these shots. So far have caught no birds mid flight but here is one on a telephone wire. In other news... for the first time in a long time, I have not gone out for the customary New Year's Eve #birding because of the atmospheric river dumping buckets of rain here in the Bay Area.... Sat cooped up in front of the computer hunting for a camera to replace the #nikon #FE that I managed to break... I think I might have found one that is to my liking....
