I live a short fifteen minute walk from Minto Brown Island Park in Salem #Oregon. This pic was taken during a summer day. Lots of people were enjoying the trails but had no idea that far above their heads was a battle between two hawks and an eagle. I was carrying a 200-600mm lens on my Sony A7rii.
Eventually another eagle arrived and the hawks left.

Nothing says Christmas like a Santabird. This is my first sighting of a #White-throatedSparrow (Zonotrichia albicollis). We only see them in Florida in the winter. This sexually monochromatic species like thick vegetative cover by water in the winter. This particular individual is a tan-morph, having a tan instead of white supercilium (stripe above eye).
