勉強の息抜きで近所の河原を散歩してきた。
ツバメの巣は今回もヒナの姿を確認することはできなかったけど、つがいらしき片割れがずっと巣の中にいて、もう片方が近くで見守るような体制を取っていたので、卵を温めている…のだといいなァ、という願望。
河原にはまだ毛がぱやぱやした幼いハクセキレイがたくさんいました。めんこい

An immature Little Blue Heron (Egretta caerulea) can be differentiated from a snowy egret (Egretta thula) by the blue grey beak that is tipped with a greyish black. The tips of their outer primary feathers have the first hint of the slate blue they will grow into in their definitive plumages. Also their legs and feet are a dull yellow instead of the black with bright yellow feet of the snowy.
