Lots of support from the public at the recent Planning Commission meeting on Birb Safe Buildings in Berkeley. Proposed law would require glass tohatprevents birds from thinking a window is sky and crashing into buildings.
We recommended a Birb Safe Glass ordinance based on NYC law and latest research by bird scientists, using glass with dots, lines, or bird-visible-but-clear-to-human patterns. Many new buildings in Berkeley already are voluntarily doing it.
