Yellow-faced honeyeaters went to town in the fernery today along with several Grey fantails & Eastern spinebills. Collectively they cleaned up on passion vine hoppers & the honeydew these bugs leave on plants.

From here the honeyeaters, like most Victorians, migrate north into Southern Qld for winter & return in early spring. We’ll be waiting.

The default is the globe icon.

If its something just for your followers, you can click the closed padlock icon.
If you just want the person in blue @ the start of the post/toot to get the message, then click the envelope icon which is a DM.

Ive seen ppl start a sensitive thread with a tight control (eg about mental health with a CW=content warning. That's the speech box icon with an exclamation mark) and all the posts that follow are the same default as the original.

If you have a particular hobby or interest you can explore threads at hashtags eg #birds #birdsfeeding #spaceflight #solarsystem then "favourite" posts and follow ppl. 💕
