Big beautiful visitor. This gorgeous Missile Thrush has just appeared over the last couple of days and today, for the first time, didn't panic when I set up for the shot. Feeding young I'd guess, hopefully, they'll turn up one day soon.

We took a wander down Den of Alyth on Friday, only met one other person with her dog, wonderful. Spotted a Dipper flying upriver and later, two together, on head just checked out the hollow under a fallen tree. A pair? Looking for a nest site? Took dark for any decent shots but I got a couple that weren't too bad. The second showing a Dipper with a fish! I thought they only took bugs 🤔

Staying with the 'pecker theme, a pair brought their young to our feeders last year, three, I think. There's a pair feeding here again and I think the youngsters tried but got driven off!
