1: Does anyone know if images/ videos uploadet to mastodon / fediverse are stripped of EXIF data and such?

I'm having a hard time figuring out what wonkiness is due to mastodon in general, the app I'm using, or the server I'm on... i suspect a little bit of each tbh.
