Lovely surprise to see my first Vesper Sparrows since 2021 in Atlanta's Legacy Park this weekend. A pair of these chunky little grassland specialists were hanging around the edge of the soccer field, presumably fuelling up for their onward migration.

Northern Rough-winged Swallow keeping a beady eye out for any intruders venturing too close to its nesting territory this morning in Atlanta's Legacy Park - I watched it chase and tussle mid-air with one swallow that got too close for comfort!
