The struggles of a bridge camera are real with bird photography. I used the zoom feature to get close up but the pixel quality rapidly disappears when doing so. That said, it was still a joy to watch a pair of Dippers gathering food for their young in early May ‘22. I would finally take a step up to a DSLR in September, but till that point I did the best I could with what I had.

If you are looking to make your garden wildlife friendly, put in some hedging plants. I have a massive hedge down one side of the garden and it is alive with birds sheltering from the cold. I follow the movement of sparrows as they make their way to the feeders each morning. So much rustling 🙂
