This pretty much sums up my feeling about this and their decisions seem reasonable to me. IMHO @kde can even go a few steps further if necessary because removing jank and #bitrot from #KDE #Plasma is a very much appreciated thing.

We have app support for de-Twittering and de-Youtubeing links.
Why not have the same for news articles? I consciously chose not to read my news with Apple (or Google, Facebook or Microsoft) - so I don't want every shared article from someone else to tell them what I'm reading. Not to mention longevity of the links...
Couldn't #Fediverse apps de-Amp, de-Apple, de-Bing shared news articles, too?

Went to #Wonderville in NYC last night for #BitRot (a chip tune gig) (I’m on holiday from Scotland). What an amazing venue. Does anyone know if an MP3 that has experienced metadata corruption is liable to get more corrupt over time?

I used an SD card for music storage for a time and some metadata got messed up years ago (mostly Date Created). All my music’s local now, but are these files “suspect” now for future random corruption, or is that a one-instance event?

The trend toward embeds rather than screenshots or direct copying has long struck me as ill-conceived.

At least it's only pr0n. As a vector for malware / spyware injection, this could be even more interesting.
