his is how I (lately) synthesize snare & rims in the grid, with a kinda simple setup. It allows to create deeper dubstep snares and also more high pitched, rim-shotty snares for drum and bass.

#Synthtember No. 11 "Eddy's in the Spacetime Continuum". Thinking to shake things up a bit, today's #synthesizer improv is recorded in the box - an experiment for me insofar as this is my first experience using only native #Bitwig synths to compose a song. No meandering #psychedelic drone blowouts here - actual #electronic #music veering towards #synthpop - with an actual structure and everything. Wonders never cease!
(I'll be back to the weird interminable wooshy synth noises tomorrow.)

* Piano and 88 keys keyboard. Going back to 49 but with MPE and gestures.
* Finger drumming and 4x4 pads. 8x8 and 8x16 for notes, chords and sequencing.
* Deep sound design. Browsing and tweaking presets instead.
* Big sample collection. #synth sounds and default samples will do.
* Plugins collection. #Bitwig should be fine.
Time is limited. Focus is rewarding.

It's titled "Roll For Me", named after a channel point redeem I helped them set up that rolls a d20 and a bot posts the result. I had to overcome some self-doubt and some art block to get this track finished and I'm super happy with how it came out!
