Picked up #BitwigStudio this week. I'm actually digging the application.
My favorite feature is the ability to sandbox plugins so crashes no longer take down your whole working session. You simply restart the plugin engine and keep rolling. No more lost work!
My least favorite feature...the expression of MIDI velocity as a percentage without the ability to change to 0-127 values. So a velocity of 100 has to be entered as 78.13%...insanity. NO ONE works like this. I had to set up a converter.

I'll miss Max devices, but I am done with Ableton's horrible freezing, lagging and ridiculous instability. I've been on the Ableton betas and watching their implementation of user requests since V10 and they are not fixing fundamental flaws with the #DAW. I'm so over all of it. I bet there will be good things in Ableton 12, but I just can't wait anymore.
