A severe case of post-holiday can't be arsed, meant I headed out late on Saturday night for my July #bivvyamonth outing. I headed to a local wood, which wasn't the original plan, and I also curtailed the ride home as I didn't sleep particularly well. It's done though, I hope for better next month.

I was on the go for over twenty four hours, and covered over 430KM before stopping for my bivvy. I was a bit broken for the ride home. Amazing what you can accomplish when you set your mind to it...

I left my house at 20:45, cycled to Thetford Tesco where I picked up some supplies. I rolled out of Tesco, which is on the Rebellion Way route, at 23:45 and cycled through the night and all the next day. I arrived back at the Tesco around 22:30, before heading back down to the Icknield Way and a bivvy.

This weekend I popped out to do CyclingUK's Rebellion Way, a ~370KM romp around Norfolk. I decided to try and ride it in a oner, which I managed with over an hour to spare.

Totally forgot to post about May's #bivvyamonth, which took place on the #Jennride. A 100 mile charity MTB ride around The LAKES. An absolutely stonking weekend of riding.

April's bivvy was a test of position on the MTB, with it fully loaded. The long and the short of it? I need a new saddle, more padding on the grips or gloves, and I need to remember to take better gloves for when it's 2°C... 🥶

Out for my March bivvy last night. Didn't fancy getting soaked in the forecast deluge, so opted for a local (ish) bird hide. The forecasted rain did arrive, but many hours late, so while I eventually got wet, the majority of the ride was dry. Lower back is now quite unhappy though. #bivvyamonth #bam #bikepacking #cycling

Out for February's bivvy last night, sans tent. Given the temperature I needed my big bag, which doesn't leave space for much else. So I headed for a local open ended barn that's normally used for chopping wood. Frozen fingers agfter 2KM on the way home, I could do with betterer gloves... 🥶

Out ditch sleeping last night, in a small abandoned chalk quarry not far from my village. The shortest bike packing adventure I've been on, but my first since my mahoosive crash last August. Got to start again somewhere...
