Les bornes ne donnent plus d'infos sur les vélos disponibles dans le secteur, les usagers sont plutôt invités à télécharger l'application. I complained alot about #bixi this week, but I'm also proud to live somewhere that the govt invests so much in public transit. #remmtl

First #Bixi ride of the season and some initial observations:

• Love the fact bikes now have QR codes on them and you can just scan it with your phone once you’re ready to leave.
• It’s annoying un-deployed docks show in the app as empty docks.
• Local docks seem to be pretty empty in the morning. Could be due to a lack of bikes in the system as they roll them out, but could also be due to popularity with early birds. If it’s the latter case, that’s going to be inconvenient.

#Montréal spent at least $60 million on #bixi between the founding and 2019. They could buy 162,000 bikes from Costco today for that money.

I propose we shut down Bixi and give the 100,000 citizens of the Plateau a new bike.
