I love the caller on NPR right now. He lived in Brooklyn since 82 and said reducing the BQE to 2 Lanes to support a hipster want for access to the waterfront is exactly like Robert Moses and LI because it will drive traffic to their neighbors in Sunset Park. I lived in Carroll Gardens near Red Hook (right next to the BQE), I know the area well. If you wanted to go to the waterfront, yea, it was a bit of a walk, but isn't that the point?!?!
