After discussing the #protest with someone at #PostAndCourier he put me on hold and then came back on the line laughing. I could hear everyone in the room laughing. They didn't see the value in the #NAACP and #BlackChurches trying to run the gay mafia out of town. The mafia had been rather prominent in the community for 2 or 3 decades. But shortly after that the gay mafia closed shop and left #Charleston, #SouthCarolina. The Black community made us safer. The local paper couldn't see that. 2/2

I saw am image of a #protest and it reminded me that ages ago when I was taking film and #photography courses I attended a protest put on by the #NAACP and #BlackChurches trying to put porn stores run by the gay mafia out of business. They stopped traffic on a major highway in #Charleston, SC. These were not normal porn stores. Yes, all the worst things you heard of backrooms, they had. I got lots a really great photos. I called the local paper, the #PostAndCourier and offered my photos 1/2
