If we're going to have books out there abt using the South as a base for building Black & multiracial political power, abt the South being every American Black person's home, we need more contemplating a future outside US.
So I put the question to my muse. I wrapped the question in an allegory. I don't pretend to have any easy answers. But sometimes in life, all any of us can do is ask questions, good questions, if difficult ones. Because "this land" wasn't "made for" Black folk.

I know, I know. Not feasible in 2023. Too radical, too anarchistic an idea. "Black ppl fought & died for this country...the right to vote...a better life..." etc. But Martin Delany, Henry Highland Garnet, Marcus Garvey. Still, part of the Black intellectual tradition, still part of Black radical thought.
