And it turns out that blackface was brought over the England from the US to influence the British since Britain had abolished slavery while the US hadn't.
So basically, blackface is US #propaganda aimed at influencing a foreign nation to get them to adopt US ideals.
And that shit is still going on.

See, blackface and the stereotyped caricatures whites often would display made it easy for the lynch mob to apprehend, torture, and hang some poor soul seen as less than human. It's quiet convent for humans that most aliens have the basic human form but with some added extra. I mean, it would be kinda tricky for a #Klingon to try to pass as human without having extensive surgery
But apart from the parallels with #blackface, the practice seems to reduce a group of people to nothing more than their appearance. I mean, surely years of behavioural training would also be needed?

This was the history department chair and a he dressed as a colonist for the talk as well. Worst part is no consequences will come of it in our district.
