11-year-old Mirabel Goodstriker from #Carseland was recently crowned #MissJuniorBlackfootCanada - #competition between 3 #Blackfoot #FirstNations of #Kainai , Blackfoot & #Piikani .
As an #ambassador , Goodstriker said it's really exciting to have the crown & she enjoys the #responsibilities that come with her #role like giving speeches.
..she had to write an essay & give several #speeches about the #BlackfootPeople & #history , as well as #dance #powwow .

This 16,500 ton glacial erratic near Okotoks, Alberta fell in a landslide onto a glacier 12,000 to 17,000 years ago. It was then transported during the ice age 350 km to the south to where it rests now.
The Blackfoot called it o’kotok, meaning rock & it was a gathering spot.
