I want cash bail, Drug War, school disturbance laws, hairstyle/texture discrimination, felony disenfranchisement, exceptions to slavery/involuntary servitude bans, car culture, single-family zoning, parking minimums, highways, SAT prerequisites for college, IQ tests, civil forfeiture, and other bad anti-poor, anti-black policies/infrastructures/ideas from last two centuries to all die fiery deaths. #BlackFuturesMonth

Will we finally fix the mistake of most U.S. cities being "Little Chicagoes" who have the veneer in the daytime of political openness to electing Black people to office but shunt them to the isolated, impoverished South Side at night? Because fixing this would go a long way to restoring Black wealth retention. #BlackFuturesMonth

I'm interested in where we'll be as a people by at least 2111. How high will our expectations be of this country? By this time, will we have been able to gain an example of, say, a city or state which does right by its Black residents, which no longer practices residential or resource segregation? #BlackFuturesMonth

If we add the years prior to the end of the #SecondReconstruction (1619-1968), that's 349 years in total before we became "more" free, basic bog-standard voting citizens throughout the US. We exceed that period in 2317. #2ndReconstruction #BlackFuturesMonth #BlackHistoryMonth

In 2111, African-Americans will have spent just as much time on this continent in technical freedom as our ancestors spent in slavery from 1619-1865 (246 years). In 2276, Afro-Brazilians will have reached the same milestone (1500-1888, or 388 years). #BlackFuturesMonth #BlackHistoryMonth
