The people who most often presume to lecture me about racism are those who have absolutely no idea what it REALLY means to be a target and victim of it: White people.

To be Black in America is a daily exercise in remaining sane, patient, kind, and in repressing occasional temptations to go “Nat Turner” on ignorant, hateful people.

Have you heard about this case from last Nov? Was it on the national news? Any ideas how a head can be severed from a body & it's called no foul play? Yeah, thought not.

"Rasheem Carter went missing late last year & was found with his head severed from his body & separated from his spinal cord, near Taylorsville, Miss. The Sheriff’s Office originally ruled that there was no foul play in the death of Carter, whose remains were first found in November."

A white man shot a Black kid in the head when he accidentally rang the doorbell of the wrong home, and then shot him again.

The man was taken to police station to make a statement and then released. Think about it: if a white kid was gunned down like that, would the word 'released' appear anywhere in the news?

"Despite being shot twice, the teen was able to run to neighbors to seek help.

“Unfortunately, he had to run to 3 different homes before someone finally agreed to help him after he was told to lie on the ground with his hands up,”"

White "Christians".

Being Black in America, from 1619 until this very day, is an ongoing exercise in patience, self-restraint, illusion, faith, hope, and immeasurable strength.
No Black person escapes it. Some think they have, but they’re in denial; they can’t. The choice isn’t entirely theirs. It never will be.

What can be done to stop excessive criminal punishments across the United States?

57yo Sydney Holmes was falsely convicted of armed robbery & was sentenced to 400yrs in a prison

He ultimately served 34yrs before his conviction was overturned & he was released

🤔🤬
