After stopping halfway & restarting from the beginning, I finally completed the #audiobook for #BlackLeopardRedWolf by #MarlonJames. This #book is best enjoyed during all-day chores & long walks, not in tiny bits while #commuting.

Hurray for so many #Queer #POC characters. Shame our hero’s mommy & daddy issues made him such a jerk. Lots of fun mythic #African monsters & magic, though.

I’m 1/3rd of the way into the #audiobook but may need to start over. I was unprepared for how the #story loops back on itself & got lost trying to hear it in bits on my commute. This one’s for when I spend a weekend doing chores.

What I’ve enjoyed so far: great narrator, #Queer protagonists, funky #monsters, a #Fantasy #Africa setting. Not keen on the #GrimDark but it’s overshadowed by all the rest.
