September 1, 1955: Philip Loeb died in New York City.

A native Philadelphian, Loeb was a successful Broadway character actor. In 1948 he got the role of Jake Goldberg in Gertrude Berg's play "Molly and Me." The next year it became a hit TV show on CBS, "The Goldbergs."

Accused of being a Communist in June 1950, Loeb was dropped from the show.

On Aug. 31, 1955, deeply depressed, Loeb checked into the Taft Hotel as "Fred Lang of Philadelphia," and took an overdoes of sleeping pills. #blacklist

‘Changing the DOI policy is a step in the right direction, one that digital rights defenders and civil society globally have been requesting for a long time,’ Mona Shtaya, nonresident fellow at the Tahrir Institute for Middle East Policy, told The Intercept.

Observers like Shtaya have long objected to how the DOI policy has tended to disproportionately censor political discourse in places like #Palestine — where discussing a Meta-banned organization like #Hamas is unavoidable — in contrast to how Meta rapidly adjusted its rules to allow praise of the #Ukrainian #Azov #Battalion despite its neo-#Nazi sympathies.”

"The Enemy Within" ALSO had a bitchin' soundtrack; it and "The Doomsday Machine" were dipped into a lot for later Star Trek incidental music.

I've watched from the beginning, and it's changed a lot over the years. But I absolutely love these characters. 💖

This finale was beautiful, and inevitable, and beyond heartbreaking. 😭 😭 (Dembe's speech... I lost it. 😭 )
