I'm watching the first season as an indian (the country) guy, and i absolutely adore the level of intimacy the show expresses with the culture and the artistic aesthetics. I was wondering if the people the show is attempting to represent share the same adoration as such.

Walker played a pivotal role in the 1963 campaign to desegregate Birmingham.

Along with recruiting protesters and coordinating boycotts, he also deciphered what he called #MLK's "chicken-scratch writing" on the handwritten notes of the "Letter from Birmingham Jail"

@bdimcheff I agree. I don’t blame them for hoping, as some have created close knit communities on there. My brother’s science discipline was and is unbothered by people, so they’re sticking around for now. I think it’s smart to have discussions about where one’s community would move though. Ex: I loved #BlackTwitter and seeing #BlackMaston growing as a welcoming landing spot for those choosing to leave or have another option.
