Reading 1997 news accounts of the #BlackWomen #MillionWomanMarch, seeing allusions to conflicts about who was included/excluded, but nobody directly saying exactly what the conflicts were or who said what. My eyes are glazing over trying to track down details. As far as I can tell, there is virtually zero academic work on this important #BlackMovement event. If it is there, it isn't using the key phrase Million Woman March. #BlackHistory Let me know if I'm missing something,

In the mid-2000s, a lot of the new action was in the Afrosphere, Black blogs. Also ColorOfChange.Org . The first big Internet-organized Black campaign was the Jena 6 protest in 2007. People were calling it the "new Civil Rights Movement." You can really see the infrastructure being built, the lead-up to BLM.
