I absolutely love watching foreign shows on Netflix. My latest is Black Spot. I watch the shoes in their native language with subtitles. This one is French, which I took many years of.

I had to stop watching and run an errand and for real if I almost wasn’t just automatically speaking French when I went into the office. Oops. Haha.

I started watching #BlackSpot (#ZoneBlanche) on #Netflix.

It's well done but I'm ambivalent about the idea of a Franco-Belgian production that wants so hard to be a US production.

I mean Bouli Lanners' Eldorado was lyrical and Qui A Tué Pamela Rose was a spoof but I'm not sure how I feel about productions that would neatly blend on Disney+ Star with an americanised European place as an "exotic" location palatable for the US audience. 😐

Black Friday sales ad nauseam.
Another opportunity to purchase more "stuff".
Too many people do not have clean water.
Too many people do not have enough food.
Too many people do not have adequate shelter.
Too many people are doing nothing about it.
Robert Louis Stevenson's "black spot" is certainly apropos today. A black spot for humanity.
