We often thank people for writing image descriptions here. And we should; they're awesome! So please consider this post as only applying to those awesome folks who describe their images, and those who only do not because of their own disabilities, especially if they use imagecaptionspls@a.gup.pe or the Alt4You hashtag instead:
Thank you, too, to those of you who properly tag your posts. If you use any of the below hashtags (and I hope you can forgive me for pinging them this once), thanks! Or, of course, any other image-related hashtags that I just haven't encountered yet!
They give your post more reach, of course, and that's very useful to artists. But they also make your post easily filterable. This means that sometimes, when there is a little too much of everything, I can temporarily lessen the amount of images on my timeline.
Please do not take this as proof that image descriptions are useless. They're not! I for one still very much enjoy them. There's a reason why #Caturday, #CatsOfMastodon, #DogsOfMastodon, etc. are not in the below list, though tagging those is still great! It's because I cannot imagine a day when I'd feel overwhelmed by cute animal pic descriptions.
But ... while I often want to be a part of your world, there are days when I don't feel like it. When I'd rather enjoy the text that is common to all of us, the reason I came here. Or perhaps all the cool audio stuff my friends are posting (which should also be described and hashtagged for deaf and hard of hearing folks!) Filtering allows me to do that on a platform that doesn't support blocking media, while still recieving some images that I *am* interested in, and not having to mute any of you wonderful people.
I know "thank you for letting me filter and ignore your stuff" is not the kindest statement, but ... yeah, still.

This week's #Blendsday prompt was "default cube." Inspired by some of @mooncube's recent sketches, I made this slightly abstract rhinoceros without leaving Object mode.

To commemorate moving into a second year of #Blendsday, I brought up the past year's 111 prompts and invite people to revisit something they'd done before and reflect on what they've gotten out of participating. I went back to poke around with Grease Pencil, creating a rough version of the animation I was planning to do for week 20's "arrow." Might flesh it out into something more polished at some point, but that feels like it's moving beyond Blendsday stuff
This week's #Blendsday prompt was "water." I modelled a fountain. I was intending to sculpt some fish and frogs as spigots, but I started late and ran out of time
This week's #blendsday prompt was "whale." I had a bunch of other work to do and used the time to mess with particle effects (and discover that colliding particles isn't an option)

First #Blendsday prompt for the year was "sky." I took the time to experiment with using Lightning Boy Studio's stylised cloud technique from this tutorial ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RgRPUlFBHH4 ) to make something loosely based on this photo I took last year.
Today's #Blendsday prompt was #sky, so I used the Dynamic Sky add-on and created a collage of my other Blendsday projects this year. Here's to many more :)
Last #Blendsday prompt for the year was "shark." I modelled up sone fan art inspired by an illustration of @midnitemoontrip's I saw a while back https://twitter.com/midnitemoontrip/status/1521527506611806208
Today's #Blendsday prompt was "ampitheatre," so I spent all my time sculpting mountains.
Today's #Blendsday prompt was "chair." I modelled a little fold out stool as something to use a cloth sim on, and then made a few animations of it opening with different levels of energy. Turned out looking better with the cloth sim disabled -_-
From yesterday's #Blendsday, the prompt was mech, so I made this little guy. Really happy with how this came out, and as a bonus, I got a primer on how to rig it, so if course I posed him in different ways hahaha. (also, if this is something that should have a content warning here, let me know, I still feel unclear about what should and shouldn't have one besides some of the examples I've heard)
Today's #Blendsday prompt was "mech," so I modelled up something inspired by the cutest little friend from my favourite Into the Breach squad
Today's #Blendsday prompt was "orb." I made a gas giant twice - I was going to make a whole bunch of different planets, but something weird happened with the undo stack and I lost the texture I'd painted (texture also didn't get saved for some reason -_-)
