I don’t often print stuff from my PC. The printer itself is OK, but the related app is not very accessible with #JAWS. One thing I can’t do is check the ink levels in the cartridges. Today I discovered they were empty when I proudly handed my wife a couple of sheets I’d printed off for her, and she told me they were completely blank.
I then had to battle with the Amazon app on my phone to order replacements. Instead of adding them to my basket, I kept opening feedback screens related to adverts. I think I eventually managed to complete the order. I’ll find out if I’ve ordered the correct cartridges when they arrive. Then I’ll have the joy of figuring out how to replace them. I suspect #AIRA may be getting a call.

@northbaybanter It’s not even recognised in England, so I doubt it would work in the USA. Biggest problem in using it is finding the door to get on a train, or knowing which bus to get on. Every journey is an adventure. #BlindAdventures

I was persuaded to go 10 pin #bowling with my daughter & grandson. Thank goodness we had the side bumpers up. Amazingly, I actually managed to get a few strikes despite having no idea where I was aiming. Good fun, & the wee lad enjoyed beating me in the last game.

I don’t mind using public transport, even if it does often present challenges when you’re visually impaired. But I’ve got to take my grandson to his swimming lesson this week. The pool is 6 miles away, but fastest bus route will take over 45 minutes, which doesn’t give enough time after he finishes school. So it’s going to be a taxi journey. That’s not great for the environment or my wallet. #BlindAdventures

Well, I’ve tried searching Hashtags before and the Metatext app never gave me any results. I’ve just discovered that the clunking sound when I swipe actually means there is a result there. When I tapped on it, I found a whole load of people who had used the #History and #AncientHistory tags. My kind of people.
It’s a pity the app isn’t fully accessible on the Explore screen, but now I know I need to select that invisible clunk.
