But I suspect he's been low-vision since birth. Lately he's been jumping for furniture that's no longer there (moved), which worried me, so went to the vet and had some level of blindness confirmed. Looking back, the signs have all been there.
Seeking #advice on how to accommodate Iroh going forward, and make our home as accessible for him as possible. #BlindCat #BlindPet

@demsoc1973 My own passed in 1998. She was a force. Legs paralyzed at age 5. Her own mother used her as a slave. 1930's. So now, looking back, I can't blame her. She survived. She knew how to use people because she was used. GD amazing what people go through. I don't have much to offer, but I hope you will get through Xmas ok. There are many of us, we are legion. William had a rough time at the vet today. New spaces, smells, noises, movements, well, basically anything new, are that much harder for blind cats. He urinated out of fear and screamed bloody murder most of the time. I felt so bad for him. But he made it home, got some sub-q fluids and Miralax, and is resting comfortably. #cats #catsofmastadon #blindcat #adoptdontshop
