There's another client that allows your to browse without JavaScript, called #BloatFE (front end) using it requires some funky installation though. Not sure whether its point and click yet.
Try not to proxy your connection through a third-party website, if you can help it.

It would be a shame if ppl who have hurt others cannot bring themselves back to earth and form a resolution.
If you folks do fork it would be nice to see #Pleroma be more #TorBrowser-friendly. Adding fallbacks to #SVGImages might be low-hanging fruit for someone.
If it functioned without JavaScript out of the box that would be lovely, but this is less important because #BloatFE exists?
Anyway hopefully there is a repairing of relations.

The above link is 404, but even having said that #Mastodon, seems designed to hurt the #privacy conscious user who runs #Tor.
Thus we are more supportive of #Pleroma and other implementations. They might not be perfect, but they do the job. The alternate front ends are good too, eg. If you want to use #ActivityPub sans #JavaScript try #BloatFE.
