Blockade Australia are at it again this morning. I think this is the fifth day now?
They live stream on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/BlockadeAustralia (though state governments are currently trying to get Facebook to agree to delete their streams)
The media isn't reporting their actions much, so the best place to keep up to date is via the Blockade Australia Media Releases page https://www.blockadeaustralia.com/category/media-releases/

"Activist, Brad Homewood, said Australia was currently living the most indulgent period of life and likened the economic system to a cancer cell.
"It's a system that is predicated on infinite growth in a finite system and we know that infinite growth in a finite system is the ideology of a cancer cell, we're seeing this play out with eco-systems breaking down all around us," he said."
A surprising comparison?
Not to us it's not.
Go Brad!✊

Blockade Australia has been blockading ports in Brisbane, Newcastle and Melbourne for three days now https://www.skynews.com.au/australia-news/crime/two-climate-activists-cause-havoc-at-ports-in-newcastle-and-melbourne-in-blockade-australias-eighth-demonstration-this-week/news-story/5414060bf2e2026ad2fcc25ad06ab134
Note that the link goes to Sky News. I tried to find a public network to link to, but could only find an ABC Newcastle report, which (understandably) only really focuses on the Hunter Valley protests https://www.abc.net.au/news/2023-06-21/coal-protests-block-rail-lines-to-newcastle-port/102504056

Look at those climate protesters from #BlockadeAustralia that were arrested in NSW last year and had the police anti terriost squad there with military weapons and tactics.
>We were surrounded at dawn by men in cammo gear, hiding in the bush, with heaps of guns. Then helicopters started buzzing overhead. Police cars and buses came speeding through the neighbourhood, lights and sirens wailing.
>“Police dogs and black clad men in body armour and full face helmets came barging into our space. This massive, costly police operation is aimed at preventing climate activists from taking action.
The election process in Australia is an insult to our collective intelligence.
Stop begging, hoping and wasting energy trying to make change through a system designed to protect the establishment and facilitate our exploitation.

"These are not victimless crimes" the Judge said of Wenzel Auch's blockading of a freight line. I had to read through the piece to find out who the victims were... The victims were the police who had to "abseil down the rail bridge to remove Auch, diverting them from other work, he said.
"'The conduct was irresponsible, unlawful and exposed emergency service workers who were trying to assist him to extreme harm," Magistrate Tsavdaridis said."
The police who are trained to do such things, who would do such things to rescue people... and now suddenly they are victims? Please Magistrate Tsavdaridis, try harder.

Yesterday, climate activist Violet Coco was sentenced to 15 months in prison, 8 months no parole.
Meanwhile, Australia records 1.5 degrees of warming, continues drilling, digging and fracking the land.

If you're at home rn wondering how you can help the frontlines, please chip in a few $$ for Mali who blocked the Sydney Harbour Tunnel this year to resist Australia's climate destruction

Unprecedented times call for unprecedented resistance. 🔥
What happens next is up to you.
Today, NSW Police pulled over cars associated with activists. Cars have been searched, defected and one person arrested while driving to a concert. All because of suspected involvement in *protests*
Australia’s authoritarian creep has turned into a slide.

The rich protect their assets, their commerce, their cruelty, the rest of us suffer the consequences.
Break the system before the system breaks us.

We live in a system where racecourses are protected from flooding before peoples homes.
Just more evidence that climate change and climate disasters are produced by the rich and felt first by the poor.

Knitting Nannas & #BlockadeAustralia activists Helen and Dominique have issued this summons, challenging the constitutionality of NSW new anti-protest laws.
Props to @EDOLawyers and the Knitting Nannas for this intervention.
And when the people in power have been causing deliberate and pre-meditated destruction for decades - direct action as a response makes even more sense.
