I started blogging back in 2007 and I've stopped around 2018. Since then, I've tried to restart multiple times but I can't find a free low-maintenance platform that I like. Blogspot sucks, Wordpress is now too complicated and more for professionals, tried to ignore the useless stuff but couldn't. Meh. Any suggestion? #blogging #oldschoolblogging #bloggingplatform

Any thoughts on the best #bloggingplatform ? Pro/con? Ideally, avoiding some of the more corporate players with the understanding that most, if not all, are corporate to some degree.

I've heard that #Tumblr is supposed to connect into #ActivityPub, does anyone know if that's live yet? Same with #WordPress? I'm looking for a #bloggingPlatform where I can occasionally write longer pieces that I could also publish thru the Federation. I’m currently using Bearblog, which I love, but I think it’s more like Medium, rather than a stand alone blog. (I’m not fond of the toast (like) button).
