https://indienet.info/ looks suspiciously like my #blogodon concept. Eyes on.

Medium could be an instance of #blogodon if Blogodon were a thing. Individuals have an AP-powered blog, posts can be replied/commented/liked just like mastodon, and admins have tools to promote individual posts to higher visibility based on quality/likes/etc.
@deadsuperhero @mike I think the beauty of activitypub and activitystreams is that we don't have to create one-size-fits-all solutions. @Gargron can create a microblogging service, and it can federate with #aardwolf, a facebook-like service, which could federate with #blogodon, a blogging service from my feverdreams.
@sivy Hey. I've seen you mention your ideas for #blogodon a few times. Have you heard of #fedibook? It's a similar idea that's starting to take off. I think your ideas would fit really well there.

@JoshuaACNewman @Horst Mastodon supports incoming Articles as well as Notes, but creates Notes from the UI (I assume).
Would be interesting if the toot-composing UI had an "expand" button which would open a (possible modal) dialog with a markdown-supporting article editor.
When posting, it's created as an Article, with both CW (summary) support and also inline "read-more" support. Mastodon would use "read-more" short version as the toot in the UI, with a link to the long-form Article. #blogodon
