This shouldn't be about a #bloodandsoil nationalism, it should be about love for a modern European country with a diverse population. It certainly shouldn't involve any kind of chest-thumping "can trace my family back to Bannockburn. It's not anybody's granddad that makes modern Scotland, it's the people who live here now.
