As much as I enjoyed Legendborn, I was not prepared for how much I enjoyed Tracy Deonn’s follow up. Back in Nov. I got to meet THE Tracy Deonn at the launch of her #Bloodmarked tour, at Cat’s Cradle in Chapel Hill.
This woman quickly became my favorite author of all time after #reading #Legendborn earlier this year.
My inner child leaped for joy and I began to sob the moment I met her.
Even my non-reader hubby was inspired by her speech and let me know, “She’s amazing. I want you to do what she’s doing.”
I’m pretty sure that night changed our lives.

These books are YA Arthurian legend remixes with a Black girl protagonist. Adventure, fantasy, a little romance, great characters.
I read Legendborn in June and loved it. When Bloodmarked came out, I read it in less than a week. I couldn't put it down!
