Clever #plot and slow unpeeling of its layers keep the truth well-hidden, even when you think you know what's happening, in true #noir fashion.

Just finished watching #BloodSimple (1984) the debut movie by the Coens. Already fully-formed, it has the DNA of what would become their trademarks.

The self-confidence of Blood Simple is absurd, never seen anything like in a debut film. It’s also shot like a horror movie. Masterpiece of course. #bloodsimple
