My sweet smol deer child. A little boy with a gigantic destiny, Gus is the first of a group of hybrid children born into the world after a plague decimates the human population. Optimistic, and curious, and clever, he just wants to find his place in the new post-apocalyptic world and all he wants is a family, a place to belong. The found family trope is one of my faves, and I'm glad that Gus has found his.

yet another one of those blorbos where the actor is already a fave so I'm predisposed to adoring them.

I love Fennec because she's a survivor, and out of all the Star Wars characters, I gravitate towards the rogues the most, but I like that Fennec has a keen sense of duty as well, beholden to Boba Fett because he saved her life.

Share a Blorbo you haven't talked about in a while! I'll start with Vlad Masters from #DannyPhantom. He's half-human, half-ghost (just roll with it xD) and unlike the main hero, used his ghost powers to get rich and powerful.

I love this dork so much! Yes, he's kinda catoonishly evil but I have a soft spot for silly INTJ villains and the phandom has already created a deeper fanon for this disaster of a man.

So I have a soft spot for Voyager, even if it isn't as well-loved as the other Star Treks. Seven of Nine was a highlight for me, and I've adored watching her develop from former Borg drone to the newest captain of the Enterprise. She faced a LOT of obstacles on the way, and those struggles were relatable for me.

She's a testament to the power of change, the power of controlling your own destiny.

He has one of the best character development arcs among my blorbo collection. Sure he was kind of the bully character when we first see him, but he's grown into Everyone's Favorite Dad. A legendary glow-up.

Stubborn and street-wise, and completely loyal to his friends. I adore his sense of humor and his friendship with Robin. He could've walked away once she told him she wasn't into him, but he didn't. A true friend!

I hope my inclusion of Young-woo into my blorbo collection isn't viewed as tokenism, but wow, I do adore her. Yes, she's autistic. Yes, she struggles with it sometimes, but it's not what defines her. It's clear that she loves her father deeply, and she loves her job as a lawyer. I appreciate that there's a rom-com K-drama that focuses on a neurodivergent female lead.

A demon spider who resides in a tree, Zabuton is surprisingly willing to help out when an isekai'ed human from Japan decides to build a farm in his new life.

I don't have a fear of spiders, so maybe that's why I adore this gigantic girly. She's so helpful! She's able to spin entire articles of clothing from her silk. I also love how she greets everyone, with a swift raise of her right...leg? idk it's cute.

I was a huge fan of the original Quantum Leap back in the day, and I personally feel like the new show carries the torch of the original very admirably. Ian is a part of the new team in charge of the Quantum Leap project, a programmer with a strong ethical mindset. Oh, and they're non-binary as well! I'm all for seeing more queer representation and having a queer character so prominent in one of my fave shows is fantastic.

This blorbo REALLY snuck up on me, but his determined yet loving personality won me over. A prince, but people underestimate him for a scad of reasons. He's deaf and non-verbal, which makes people around him believe that he's not smart, but he doesn't let his disability define who he is. He earns other's respect with diligence and loyalty. One of my favorite child blorbos!

Okay so he's still an arrogant, know-it-all prick, but there's something in him that I totally find endearing. His laid-back charm fascinates me. He could come off as just rude and annoying but his attempts at truly helping out his friends (and Gizmo) warms my heart, even when he gets it totally wrong. One of those blorbos who grew on me as the seasons went on.

I've always loved Lois Lane, honestly. Her determination and drive speaks to me on a personal level. I still want to be her when I grow up. All she wants is to get at the truth and to report on it.

I'm delighted that this iteration of Lois is Asian! And she has figured out Clark's secret right away! Although, I'm of the opinion that Lois always figures it out quickly. She just never tells Clark.

Today's #BlorboFromMyShows is Pelia from the #StarTrek series #StrangeNewWorlds

I've only had her for a few weeks but I already love her! A member of an extremely long-lived alien race, Pelia shows up as the new chief engineer of the Enterprise. Her no-nonsense, seen-it-all personality is refreshing but I adore that she joins the SNW crew because she finds them interesting and entertaining. Another blorbo I love because I've blorbo-ized the actor. Carol Kane is a legend.

Today's #BlorboFromMyShows is Tohru Honda from the #anime series #FruitsBasket

Tohru puts on a brave and happy front, even while facing great adversity, even when she's hurting inside from the loss of her mother. She offers so much love and support to the Souma family, and because she was unconditionally loved by her mother, she's able to give that unconditional love to Kyo.

One of my all-time favorite female blorbos. Just thinking about her existence makes me happy. I'm a dork.

Today's #BlorboFromMyShows is Holo from the #anime series #SpiceAndWolf

A goddess of the harvest, an ancient and knowing wolf who takes on the guise of a young woman to travel with a merchant named Lawrence in order to learn about humanity. I call Spice and Wolf the feel-good capitalist anime since a lot of the episodes focus on Lawrence's attempts to make money.

I love Holo's strength and her audacity. I love her curiosity and her wit and her eagerness to learn about humans.

I think this is another blorbo who is largely a blorbo because he's portrayed by one of my favorite actors: Riz Ahmed. He's radically different from his original web comic form. He's ambitious but also kind and unassuming, a person who ideally wants to protect the same system that supported him, until he sees its corruption. A person who becomes the villain in order to rescue his surrogate daughter.

It's Keith fucking David doing comedy! Ok, this is a blorbo who's a blorbo because I love the actor playing the blorbo. So it's really just me saying Keith David is the blorbo. It's complicated. He's one of my favorite actors ever and I loved that he showed up in one of my favorite comedies ever.
